Public Health Goal Report

The Public Health Goals (PHGs) report is a legislative requirement to provide you with information on the detection of any contaminants above levels stated in PHGs adopted by the State Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) and any contaminants above the Maximum Contaminant Level Goals (MCLGs) set by the United States Environmental Protection Agency. Public water systems serving more than 10,000 service connections are required to prepare a written report available upon request every three years. PHGs and MCLGs are not water quality standards. They are goals identifying extremely small risks. Additionally, the PHG report intends to provide an estimate of the cost to reduce the contaminant from drinking water to non-detectable levels regardless of how minimal the risk might be. Water quality data collected in the last three years (2019-2021) is considered in the 2022 PHG report.

A public hearing was held on the 1st of August, 2022 at Fontana Water Company’s office, located at 15966 Arrow Route, Fontana, California 92335.
